First Assignment Reminder

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great day. I just wanted to remind everyone to bring in your photos for your first painting project by Friday morning. Remember: you can pick any picture for this assignment! We will be learning about different types of paint and will be making acrylic paintings of the photo of your choice. Pick a picture that means something to you or even something with a lot of color so you can work with many different acrylic paints. We will be working on these for the next couple of weeks, so pick something fun. See you all tomorrow at school!

Welcome Students!

Hello students, and welcome to 6th grade art! I am your teacher, Miss Rios, and I am very excited to kick off the school year with your class. This year, we will be learning about art using different materials and mediums, including acrylic paint, felt, pastels, and clay. By the end of the school year, you will have learned about various styles of art and how these styles have evolved over time. You will also learn how technology affects and advances art. I cannot wait to see what you create this year!
